Press Release Body = New York, NY -- (eMediaCampaigns!) -- Mar. 23, 2006 -- Arizona author Fran Briggs announced plans for a 15 month event which inspires children to perform at their full potential. The Don\'t Think Like an Elephant National Reading & Discovery Tour is part of a nationwide initiative which promotes the joy of discovering and achieving in children.
The Don\'t Think Like an Elephant Tour was launched this month and will cover more than 1,100 schools nationwide. More than 12,000 copies of books will be delivered to school libraries and children hospitals.
During the 2006 - 2007 Reading Tour, Fran Briggs will read her children\'s inspirational book, \"Don\'t Think Like an Elephant!\" The book features a character named Elliot, a hard-working, but lonely elephant. He often wonders why, unlike him, the other elephants are able to freely explore and achieve at will. With the help of a free-flying friend, Elliot discovers the difference between thinking and believing. Then, for the first time ever, the elephant begins to believe and explore life-transforming possibilities! In the end, Elliot breaks free from his limitations and creates his own new reality.
\"The book shows the reader how to control their own destiny, be accountable for not taking action, succeed in and out of the classroom, and enjoy life to the fullest extent,\" stated Briggs. \"It does this by introducing a simple, fun and highly effective technique for seeing and achieving results never imagined possible. Within minutes -- the reader will learn how to boost their confidence and achieve success in all areas of their life,\" she added. \'Don\'t Think Like an Elephant!\' is a powerful, fun, effective, and yet simple book that shows the reader how to overcome the negative beliefs that have kept them from succeeding.
The tour\'s organizers efforts to enlist private and corporate partners will more than likely continue beyond their 2006 - 2007 schedule. Thousands of individuals from communities nationwide are expected to join the initiative by donating money for new books, fundraising, and volunteering their time to promote the tour. Ten percent of all donations will be gifted to Phoenix Children\'s Hospital, Phoenix, AZ, the author\'s charity of choice.
